Slow Juicer Reviews

Slow juicers are one way to improve nutrition. We lived rushed lives. There is work, family, after school activities and more. Leaving hardly any time to pay attention to what we are consuming. Most days we grab a coffee and bagel or a donut to keep us going until lunch. Eating freshly made or a balanced meal is like a luxury sometimes. But it’s time we made a change. A change for the better lifestyle, better eating habits and better nutrition. The first step can be buying a slow juicer according to a slow juicer review. The reason for this is with a slow juicer at hand, even if you find it difficult to eat salads and fruits, it is easy to drink a glassful of juice. When making the move from junk food to fresh food, it sometimes gets really tiring and difficult to keep eating salads day after day. So, a really refreshing alternative is to drink up freshly made juice from all the different fresh foods that you can find. Most people won’t say no to juice even kids. A slow juicer has the advantage of retaining most nutrition in the juice as it rotates so slowly. There is neither heat nor oxidation of juice in this method of juicing.

Juice Yield: While fast juicers are great at juicing hard produce and generating the juice in a very short time. You can’t really the same thing about their yield. Due to the fast and rapid method of processing the produce whether it is hard or soft the juice yield is considerably less when juiced with centrifugal juicers. But, it has been noted that when juiced with masticating juicers the same amount of produce yields much more juice. In the first method the produce is shredded to bits and the small pieces are then flung against the juicer screen where due to the centrifugal action the juice is flung out and the pulp drops into the bin. In a masticating juicer the produce is actually crushed between the rotating auger and the chamber housing it. The squeezed out juice passes through the screen while the dry pulp passes out in to the pulp bin. The different methods of juicing have considerable effect on the juice yield. Hard produce yields reasonable amount of juice in the fast juicers, the soft produce and leafy vegetables don’t yield enough juice. In a masticating slow juicer you will find that even the soft produce and leafy greens generate large amounts of juice.

Other options that influence choice of juicer are chute size, pulp bin size, ease of use, ease of cleaning, ease of assembly, looks and price. The chute size matters because if you have a very small chute you end up spending a lot of time cutting and chopping up the vegetables. Another important fact is the ease of use in terms of assembly, cleaning and operation. Some juicers are so complicated that it takes a long time to learn to use them. The screen mesh gets clogged with fiber of the produce being juiced, if not cleaned immediately this can harden and clog the screen affecting the juicing ability of juicer. So, even when in a hurry, you do need to at least clean the screen mesh. Cost of the juicer also plays a big role in the buying decision. While it is true that you get what you pay for, it is also, possible to find affordable options when your needs are different and not very exacting. Of course looks also matter. A nice looking gadget will have pride of place on the kitchen counter and will also be used more often. So, according to slow juicer reviews an attractive looking kitchen appliance it is more likely to used too.
